BNI Hadleigh

The  idea behind the hilarious video of the first BNI breakfast meeting on the moon has been inspired by ambitions of  BNI Hadleigh chapter to raise the chapter’s profile and increase their membership from 30 to 40 members.

The video was created as the chapter’s entry into the BNI’s UTweet competition and  was the brain child of group member Diana Chrouch of Chrouch Consulting, marketing and income generation consultant.  She wrote and produced the video with the support of fellow group members.  It was filmed and edited by visitor to the group, budding film maker Josh Wardle.

Lycra Catsuits!

Chapter members took part in the video with gusto, dressing up as aliens in rubber masks and lycra cat suits, whilst Jackie Taylor of Outstanding Lives alternative health practitioner,  donned an astronaut’s suit.  The waiter was played by web sited designer Clinton Gomer of Energy House Digital. Our assortment of scary aliens were played by BNI Hadleigh members:

• Chris Christou – landscape gardener of the Virginia Bush Company
• Marc Rose – IT support specialist of Marcrosoft  in the purple lycra!
• Dr. Chris Pickard – chiropractor of the Pain Relief Centre
• Deborah Pottinger – advertising publisher of Eye Media Publications

We are also grateful for the involvement of visitor to chapter professional actor Omri Colin Rose.

Printer Jamie Dannell of printer Martin Dannell & Co Was responsible for our great BNI flag.  The film was shot in the studio of chapter photographer Steve Hughes of Imagepics  and again in the actual Wednesday morning breakfast meeting.  

Attracting New Members

Although the video shows an amusing spoof visit to the moon to have a BNI breakfast meeting with aliens, the real message is about the extra business that BNI can bring to its members through referrals.  Also very importantly, the video highlights the importance of bringing visitors to the chapter to help it to grow by attracting new members and business.

Hadleigh chapter has first hand experience of how increasing the membership brings in extra business. The figures speak for themselves. From January to June 2009  23 members earned £141k worth of business.  These figures leapt dramatically following an increase in membership to 32 so that  between June 2009 and January 2010 members earned £737 k!
